For the second year, I contributed to Travel Oregon's pamphlet for the Royal Horticultural Society's Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival (a bit of a mouthful...). This year I illustrated Meadow Cranesbill, Hazelnut, Meadowsweet and Summer Wine yarrow. The pamphlet accompanies Oregon's beautiful "Oregon Garden" which aims to inspire a curiosity about, and perhaps even an interest in visiting, our beautiful state.
The sweet, little pamphlet that accompanies the exhibit includes "adventure pairings" – suggestions of things to do in Oregon, inspired by six featured plants. For example, the Meadow Cranesbill pairs with "An easy, springtime hike among wildflowers in the hills of the Columbia River Gorge."
