What's not to love about the Western Bluebird? The male's incredible, eye-piercing blue and the female's more camo-oriented colors – both are just delightful. They mostly eat insects, but during the colder months they absolutely love berries, like these chokecherries they're feasting on in this illustration.

Art is approximately 12 x 9", and the frame is approx. 18 x 14″, watercolor, pen and ink, $600 includes domestic shipping

If you're interested in this artwork, drop me a note and I'll send a higher resolution version so you can take a closer look at it.

All originals are framed in genuine mahogany frames custom-crafted by my husband, with UV-protecting plexi and acid-free matting (unless otherwise noted). The mahogany is stained a rich golden brownish/reddish hue.
