• This little chipmunk lives in the western United States and southern Canada, and is found in open, dry forests. It is an opportunistic forager, eating whatever seeds and insects it finds (in this case, ponderosa pine seeds). This painting was commissioned by the High Desert Museum in Bend, OR, for a "High Desert Pond" exhibit. The original is available for sale.
